Hearing Dogs Christmas Bazaar 2007

Date: Tuesday May 13, 2008

We decided to have a stall at the Hearing Dogs Christmas Bazaar on Sat 24th November. This was held at The Grange, the Charity’s Head Office and Training Centre near Princess Risborough. It was an all day event, which meant an early start for some of us.

Thanks to willing helpers we were able to man the stall in two shifts of four people. The morning shift had to leave MK at 8.00 am to give us time to set up our goods before the bazaar opened at 10.00 am. Esther Rantzen (an active supporter) officially opened the Bazaar with a short speech before looking around the stalls.

The event was well supported by both stallholders and customers. We sold all our dog beds and quite a few of our toy dogs that come with their own dog blanket or bed and a number of other goods. We made a profit of approximately £174. Everyone attending was offered a free mince pie and a glass of mulled wine. This was very welcome after our early start.
