Flag Days

After being granted a permit for street collections from Milton Keynes Council, it was decided to hold Flag Days at selected locations at Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, on 4th and 25th October and 1st November.
These entailed a lot of paperwork before and after the collections, but it was well worth the effort for several MK branch members as well as some members from the Herts branch went out to stand in the cold, rain and wind as shoppers went by to drop money into our collection cans, some of whom were very generous, however some of them put foreign currency in! We raised a total of £1,593.05 from these Flag Days.
