Group Walk at Millennium Country Park, Forest of Marston Vale.
Date: Sunday March 15, 2009

Most of us turned up with our dogs on a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon, for a leisurely walk round Stewartby Lake. We were very pleased to welcome Jeanette and Daniel Goodwin and their two sons, who are socialising Ozzie, a black cockerpoo, from Sooty’s “O” litter, born on 8th October 2008.
We were able to choose the distance we wanted to walk, as there were three footpaths, but we all took the circular path round the lake, which seemed to go on for ever! Some of us were glad to find a short cut back to the Forest Centre for refreshments outside the Lakeside Cafe, whilst the more energetic lot continued their walk off the lake to the Wetlands Reserve, finally joining us at the cafe. I think that they walked 5 miles.
Our thanks go to Bruce for organising such a successful and enjoyable walk.
