Milton Keynes Community Foundation

Date: Saturday November 1, 2008

In November 2008, The Milton Keynes & District Fund-Raising Branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People made a small grant application to the Milton Keynes Community Foundation, for a special purpose.

The Chairperson, Doreen Monk writes:-

Our branch has had a welcome boost to our funds. We naturally send most of the money we raise to The Grange, which goes towards Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. But we applied to Milton Keynes Community Foundation for funds to provide us with a sign language interpreter, as we are a mixed bag of deaf and hearing members. The Community Foundation awarded us the sum of £1,150, this came from the Margaret Powell Trust, and very welcome it is too. It is for one year and we must look into funding for the year 2010, perhaps the BIG lottery?
