Big Doggie Do parade

The Milton Keynes Parks Trust invited us to run a stall at this week-end event on 27/28th June, and to take part in a mini parade in the arena. The venue had been switched from Willen Lake, where the event was held for the last two years, to Furzton Lake. Parking facilities were better at Furzton and there was a larger arena. The weather was favourable and we had a fairly busy weekend. Andrew Reid, from head office, kindly joined us to organise the parade and we had Kerry Lover as a sign language interpreter for us to be able to effectively participate in the parade.

We were very pleased to make a total of almost £418.70 from the sale of goods and games on our stall, including our popular tombola, Guess the Name of the Dog and soft toy games. Additionally, we had a pleasant surprise, a donation of £251.98 from The Parks Trust, because our stall won a raffle to receive the proceeds from their dog show.
