Christmas Fayre, 2nd December 2007 Green Park School, Newport Pagnell

Date: Tuesday May 13, 2008

We barely had time to recover from the Queen’s visit, when 2 days later, we set up stall again for the Green Park School Christmas Fayre! However, it was a very successful event, especially as a replica of the Queen’s dog bed was on show, and we were able to sell off most of the dog-beds that were on display for the Queen’s visit.

The dog kennel was a popular attraction for children, who bought second hand soft toy dogs that were on display, with their own pocket money. We also had our popular tombola board, where we had some fabulous prizes laid out. Some of us had made soft toys as prizes, including knitted Santas and Christmas stockings, which were colourful and drew visitors to our stall.

We welcomed a new volunteer at our stall, Mags Adams-Aston from the Coventry branch, who brought her Hearing Dog Taz, a lurcher, who was the star attraction at our stall.
