Christmas Paws for Coffee

On Saturday 12th December 2009, the MK & District Fund-raising Branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People held a “Paws for Coffee” at Newport Pagnell United Reform Church. The event was well attended and raised a fantastic £429 towards training dogs to be alert to sounds to provide support to individuals who are either Deaf or hard of hearing. These dogs are life changing for their recipients providing greater independence, confidence and security.
We had a raffle, cake sale, tombola, and variety of crafts and goods for sale – a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and special thanks to Janet Durbidge, Joan Harrington and all the team for all their efforts in arranging and publicising the event.
