Olney Walk

Date: Sunday October 4, 2009

On October 4th, there was 9 people and 2 dogs met on Olney Market Place. At 1.30pm we left to start our walk. We walked towards Clifton Reynes near the meadows, across the River Ouse and up the hills. We took a well walked track down into the village and then along the road towards Emberton. Some distance along the road we then went through an old kissing gate back onto the hills and back down to the river on the opposite side to which we went up, then we continued following the river until we reached the sports playing fields. We went through the sports grounds – along side the URC into the High Street. We arrived back onto the Market Place about 2 hours after we set out and rewarded ourselves with a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake. The weather was quite warm. The two dogs that came with us were very tired and in need of a sleep.
