Summer Fayre at The Grange
Date: Sunday June 6, 2010

This year’s summer fayre at The Grange was held on 6th June 2010. The day went very well. We were in a prime position as we were the very first stall that people saw as they entered the grounds. The weather was kind, not too hot. The heavens only opened as we took down the gazebo at the end of the day. Several members of the branch were able to help out during the day and there were a variety of dogs, both working and some in training. On the Milton Keynes stall we offered a range of crafts for sale from dog beds to dog coats and various knitted items. A selection of the craft kits were available along with quantities of wool. Our three games were very popular especially with the children. Bruce and Jane have designed and made a splendid ‘catch the rat’ game, there was also ‘guess the number of dog treats in the jar’ and ‘guess what is hidden in the kennel’. In all a total of £414.21 was made on the day.
