Lovat Fields Talk Feb 2010

On Monday 15th of February the branch was invited to Lovat Fields, the large retirement village close to Willen Lake to give a talk about the work of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The Knitting Group at Lovat Fields kindly donated £300 last year and we took the opportunity to present them with a certificate for their hard work. Terry bought along 3 of the new cocker-poo puppies which were very popular as well as Cleo who is being socialised by Paul, our branch secretary, and of course not forgetting Janet and Gypsy who were able to give people an idea of the ‘finished article’.
We sold wool and other craft materials that had been kindly donated and along with the donations made that afternoon we raised a total of £243.33, a good afternoon’s work I feel.
